One of my earliest memories is standing before a flimsy wooden easel, paintbrush in hand, smock covered in paint making marks on paper. My mother framed a painting she named “boy in a red hat”, I still have that early painting. I received a BA in art from The Catholic University of America, DC and have studied at The John Cass School of Art in London, The New York Studio School, The Philadelphia Academy of Fine Art and The Philadelphia Clay Studio. In the 1990’s I exhibited and sold home accent ceramics under the name of Demer Art, in elite craft/art galleries and shows across the United States.
My work found representation in prestigious venues like Nordstroms, Jacobsons, and various fine craft/art galleries. As life will have it art took a backseat as I crafted a life with my husband and daughter in Vermont. I have donned multiple hats typical of life in Vermont, including hosting a live TV morning show The Snow Show at Mount Snow and currently serving as a Broker/Realtor with Sotheby’s in the Valley. Through it all art still remained a constant and favorite friend.
